What your scorecard looks at

Your score from 0 to 100 comes from five things a recruiter notices when skimming a resume:

  • Impact and results

Do you show what changed because of your work, or only what you were responsible for?

  • Clarity and structure

Can a reader follow your roles, dates, and achievements at a glance?

  • Skills visibility

Do your skills and tools show up clearly, and in the context of real work?

  • Seniority signal

Does the resume read at the level you are aiming for, through scope, ownership, and decisions?

  • Machine-readability

Is the layout simple enough for both people and software to read without confusion?

What you get

  • A market-readiness score and a profile label that sums up how your resume reads.
  • Your strengths, so you know what to keep.
  • The fixes that matter most, in order.
  • The skills detected on your resume.
  • What your role pays in Singapore, when it matches an official occupation.

Questions

Is my resume stored?

No. Your PDF is read by TalentBuild AI to create the scorecard, processed securely by our AI provider, and isn't saved by us. Close the page and it's gone.

How is the score calculated?

The AI reads your resume and reports what it finds: how many achievement bullets contain a number, which contact details are present, whether the layout is a single column, and so on. The score is then worked out from a fixed checklist, so it is not a guess. Impact counts for 40%, clarity and skills 20% each, seniority and machine-readability 10% each. After you upload, the result shows every check and what was found on your page.

How accurate is the score?

It measures how well your resume presents evidence, using checks that anyone can verify against the page. It is a guide to what to improve, not a prediction of any hiring decision. The AI's reading of a PDF can occasionally miscount, and re-scoring the same file can move by a few points.

What does it cost?

The scorecard is free, with a small limit per person. The full recruiter-style verdict against a real job is part of the free account (three a month) and Pro (unlimited).

What file can I upload?

A PDF up to 4 MB. If your PDF is a scanned picture rather than text, export a text-based PDF from your document editor and try again.

What is a good score?

There is no pass mark. Use the score to compare your own versions: fix the top issues, upload again, and see what changed. Different roles and levels call for different things.

Is this an ATS score?

No. There is no single applicant tracking system, and each one works differently. We check whether your layout is simple enough to be read cleanly, and whether your results are clear to a person.

Does it work outside Singapore?

You can upload any resume. The pay context comes from Singapore's Ministry of Manpower wage data, so it appears only when your role matches an official Singapore occupation.
